Last weekend some members of the potters association in Townsville finally made the first real steps towards building their own soda kiln at their Flowers St Studio. Gail Nichols visited the studio and shared her tips and knowledge to get us all motivated. Now it is up to us to get that new kiln built and start firing with soda for special and unique effects..

Is it an oxymoron to have such a thing to portray a person without showing their face?
It is difficult enough to create a portrait with a face let alone one without a face and give a sense of the person in the photo..
